About Paperline and IK Signature

As a brand of Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinarmas, Paperline and IK Signature believes in responsible production that takes into account the sustainability of the environment where we operate in and the communities that live around our operation. We are striving to meet the sustainability attributes desired by our customers through our commitment to APP’s Sustainability Roadmap Vision 2020 as well as our support to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

The main focus is to ensure that Paperline and IK Signature production is free from deforestation. We put various measures in place to ensure that, and currently 100% of our raw material is legal wood sourced from sustainably-managed plantations, most of which are certified under the global forest certification standards such as the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). In line with that, we also implement initiatives to protect the natural forests, as well as maintaining biodiversity, in our suppliers’ concession areas.

Our workers and the local communities that live in and around our operation areas are a critical stakeholder to us. Wherever we operate, we ensure that the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) principle is observed before undertaking new activities. Various community empowerment programs are also in place to ensure that the local communities will thrive together with us. Including, as well programs that support gender equality and economic empowerment for women, particularly those in the rural areas.
